About the Program
The Office of the Inspector General conducts administrative, civil and criminal investigations relating to the United States Department of Transportation operating administrations (such as the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Highways Administration, Federal Transit Administration and the Pipelines Hazardous Materials Safety Administration), including contractors and grantees in the 13 western states and Pacific territories. The OIG are one of about three law enforcement bodies under the umbrella of the United States Department of Transportation (US DOT).
Special Agent in Charge Cissy Tubbs will share the who, what, when, where and how US DOT – OIG – Investigations works to prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse as relates to US DOT funds, such as from routine discretionary grants, or special funding such as the CARES Act or the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), in the great state of Hawai’i.
