We are excited to announce the launch of our Emerging Leaders fourth cohort on February 16, 2023 at the Entrepreneurs Sandbox in Kakaako. This year’s cohort includes 18 students representing 15 ACECH member firms. It’s a great opportunity for the growth and development of your up-and-coming team members.
Engineers Week was a great success thanks to everyone’s hard work. HCES Engineers Week Kickoff Exhibits at Windward Mall, started the week off in grand style, followed by SAME and HCES Engineers Week Kickoff Luncheon. There was even an Engineering Career Expo at UH College of Engineering. Engineers Week ended with an Awards Banquet sponsored by HCES. ACECH would like to congratulate Cathy Leong, P.E., 2023 Engineer of the Year, Claire Fukuoka Tsuha, P.E., 2023 Young Engineer of the Year, Tyler Maruno, 2023 Student Engineer of the Year and William H.Q. Bow, P.E., 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award.
Thank you, Brandon Shima and the University of Hawaii, for your presentation at our well attended, in person, March General Membership Meeting at Oahu Country Club. It was a great opportunity for networking and information on procurement and the pipeline of UH projects planned for the next 6 years.
Our Legislature is in crossover right now, there are several bills that are under the watchful eyes of our superhuman Legislative Committee team chaired by Charles Jury, P.E. We are staying on top of the legislative items that affect us and our industry. Thank you very much Charles and our hardworking Legislative Committee team – these incredible guys and gals give new meaning to working 24/7.
